Amy and Michael

Amy's background is in nutritional therapy, mental health counseling, and social work.  They perfectly blend with farming and her love of things that grow with a passion and understanding for healing through food.  She has also grown up on both beef and grape farms that while adding a sense of pragmatism to her work, it also encompasses her capacity to create a wide variety of projects that will be enjoyed by her family and future generations to come.
'Nature allows me to cultivate food.  This food heals the body! Nothing better in this life then what I am doing now....'
Michael's background in IT systems and data seems at odds with farming, until you realize that a farm is a complex system of science and engineering where the efficiency of that system is one of the critical foundations of farm sustainability. In support of his wife and the farm, he has leveraged his wide skill base to steadily grow the farm system in numerous ways.
"I've always loved working outdoors, and after too many years sitting at a desk, I have an opportunity to apply everything I know to the growth and stability of Coriander Creek. It is entirely enjoyable work, always something to learn, something to improve, something to find satisfaction in. And it couldn't be in a better location. It's the Home I've always been looking for."
Amy and Michael have also completed the Viva Farms 2018 Practicum farming course and continue to use Viva's valuable intellectual resources.
